Coffee Origins Decoded

Understanding coffee supply starts with understanding where coffee comes from. More importantly, understanding the differences and peculiarities of individual origins is what separates true market expertise from a superficial understanding of coffee. This course explores seven of the world’s most important coffee-producing origins: Brazil, Vietnam, Colombia, Indonesia, Honduras, Ethiopia, and Uganda, which collectively account for approximately 80% of global production. You’ll learn about production trends, varieties, producing regions, harvest calendars, exports, weather risks, and each origin’s role in global supply and demand. Ultimately, the course aims to help you develop a sophisticated understanding of individual origins and, by extension, global supply, the most dynamic component of price discovery. The course includes seven modules, each with two video lessons, supporting materials, and a multiple-choice quiz. A minimum score of 65% is required for a certificate of completion. Modules can be taken in any order.
