Alex Gruber, Director, Artis Trading
With 33 years of experience in coffee trading, Alex has worked with top-tier trade houses such as ECOM and Volcafe across Vietnam, Mexico, Sierra Leone, and Switzerland. With 20 years of Vietnam Crop Tour experience, his expertise includes crop forecasting and maintaining an extensive network. As the Founder and Director of Artis Trading for four years, his career also encompasses seven years as the Head of Vietnam Coffee Trading for ECOM and RCMA, and five years as a Senior Robusta Trader at ECOM's Swiss office. Currently, he lives, works, and trades in Vietnam.
Ryan Delany, Chief Analyst CTA
Ryan is the Founder and Chief Analyst at Coffee Trading Academy, bringing 13 years of experience in managing price risk in the coffee industry. He has worked as an Analyst and Trader at ECOM’s proprietary trading desk and soft commodities hedge fund, with coffee trading experience in Robusta origins India and Uganda. Additionally, Ryan is a commercial, specialty, and certified coffee trader, as well as a Q Grader. He holds degrees in Economics and Finance from Harvard College and Columbia University and is a US Marine Corps infantry veteran.
